Lucania
The idea of Lucania manifested through the God of harvest
Traced back to Ireland in a place so fertile and far west...
Buried in it were gods and princes and knights from Forenza
Witches and Druids and temples of Hera...
Gargoyles of pervertion stare as if guarding a portal...
Cathedral crypt creatures reign as if immortal
Under the earth flowed the subterranean river Acheron...
Forming the borders of hell, a river of pain now gone
Rolled into tongues some dialect tainted Gaelic...
Thirteen villages thriving now on some fancy old wick
Notes and beats lived through Irish ruins
Where a factory of harps reflects the port of Rathmullan
Lucania: Topographical, Biographical, Historical.
Murders of Father McCarthy, Curate of Lucan, of Dr. Allen, Archbishop of Dublin , and of Luttrell.
A fluke.
Found in a church in Pietragalla was the fresco of Jesus besides an American cactus, which was strangely from the 13th century.
NEW INSIGHT!
Ancestor of the Duke of Acerenza 'Fransceso Pinelli' financed Cristopher Columbus's first voyage the Americas!
“Gl’inni Arms” is the coat of arms of the Gl’inni family from Acerenza. It sits above the entrance of the antique Glinni building. This symbol is the same one as the O’Connor clan, Dun of Glengiven; called O’Connor Glinni Gaimen.
"The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." John Muir
The last non-Christian Roman Emperor who was placed on the steeple of the Acerenza Cathedral in place of a cross was Julian the Apostate. It was only noticed and taken down in the 1930s. He who opposed Christianity, towered over the Acerenza cathedral as a reminder of Paganism, which he vowed to restore. An image of the Acerenza steeple appears in the book by Filiberto Campanile

WHY IS LUCANIA CONSIDERED MYSTERIOUS?
Lucania is mysterious, in the context of its very definition; "unexplainable, enigmatic or ambiguous, unknown, puzzling, and not yet well understood.
Carlo Levi writes in his book "Christ Stopped in Eboli" that Lucania's story passed right over the heads of the people which populated it. Further, it was a forgotten land located on the edge of a theatre of historical events; one possessing significant importance. The spirit of the protagonists in these events reclaim the role they had played in the story, and we, dedicate our site to them. Mystery resides within the symbols and clues of the protagonists, clues that Lucania knew how to preserve until today; the ones we are seeking to interpretate.
MARGHERITA NUGENT (1881-1954)
Countess Margherita was the last seignior or feudatory of Irsina. With such competence and caution, she managed her possessions until they were swept from under her with the “Agriculture Reform.” This was followed by a decline which induced Ms. Nugent to move away. She’d been an art scholar of great sensibility and culture, acute and was merited a discovery involving the frescoes found in the crypt of the San Francesco church in Lucania. Evidence of this can be found in her book “"AFFRESCHI DEL '300 NELLA CRIPTA DI S.FRANCESCO AD IRSINA." She was of Irish origin like the Glinny’s, of great nobility, generous and beautiful. It was she who, for the very first time, detected a clear influence of Irish artistry in the paintings presented in the San Francesco crypt. The frescoes from 1300, are today, in danger of being ruined by humidity in the walls. There is little though, the priests can do, but of their own will, seek in preserving them. After the studies developed by Nugent, no one has since advanced the notion of her discovery, nor asked the question: was an Irish influence present here? As Gianni and Raffaello Glinni began to do.
MARGHERITA NUGENT (1881-1954)
The Albano Sanctuary in Lucania presents; the "Rocca del Cappello" a special Lucanian spot where evident signs of an ancient sanctuary were dedicated to the God of Light, God Lugh, the Celtic God. Lucania took its name from Lugh. We have reason to believe that some elements of the ancient Lucanians were of Celtic origin, the "Eburnei" were from "Ebur" what today is "Eboli" set in the province of Salerno, from where Lucania evolved. There are three Lucanian rivers possessing inside their names, a matrix from Celtic divinity; the "Bradano"(Dan=river,Brix=high place), the "Sele" (as in the name Shiela), and the "Sinni river" (as in the Sennain river in France). Numerous places in Lucania originate from the Celts, like the town of "Brienza" from Brien-Abriola from Briol forest, "Vaglio" from Bal meaning fortress. God Lugh was often represented as a large head, a circle, who's the god of light--where in Albano, circles are carved into boulders exactly as they are in Britain.
Joseph "Ottomano" 'Osman' Glinni
was an Illuminati and linguist who studied Alchemy, Christianism, Theology and the evolutions of man. He lived in the Glinni mansion directly across from the Acerenza cathedral. This is a portrait found the basement.
Joseph “Ottomano” Glinni. Hiberniensis Acheruntino. According to Friederich Munter he was the only Italian linguist of his time, 1700s. He was teacher and friend of Mario Pagano, Caracciolo, Antonio Jerocades; Joseph Glinni taught age-old Greek and linguistics at the University of Naples until 1788, the year when he was substituted by Jerocades. Joseph died mysteriously after burning his studies, and family documents. Some parts were left in tact, and later found by Gianni Glinni in the basement of Glinni mansion in Acerenza; located directly across from the cathedral. They will be shown on this site for the very first time. Still unpublished, they are partly in the form of handwritten manuscripts. Involved were studies on mythology of the ancient Etruscans, the Eburini (people of Lucania) and the Enotri; an ancient Italic population of Lucania, Puglia and part of Calabria. He also deepened the studies on Hercules Acheruntino and his funeral rituals, graveyard myths and those of the afterlife. “Ottomano” was his pseudonym, as he was a member of the “Philanthropy Lodge,” the same confraternity in which Mario Pagano took part. Gianni and Raffaello Glinni are his descendants and are concerned with the studies of his manuscripts, which will be published soon on this site.
Joseph Ottomano Glinni Hiberniensis Acheruntino.
